1992 Ls400 radiator fan
So i have a little problem, my radiator fan doesn't turn on at all. All the relays are good and the fan is connected to the harness. I'm planning to wire the fan to a switch, so can somebody tell me how to do that?
please and thank you

Unplug the temperature switch (mounted on the bottom of the radiator). If the fans run when the key is in the running position, the only thing that might not be working is the switch. If you want to leave the fan system mostly stock, the harness for this switch is a good candidate for a spot to manually control it as well. A switch wired to the first relay would work too.

Which fan are you actually talking about? The fans in front of the radiator or the fan on the engine? The radiator fan shouldn't turn when you crank the engine, just when the engine temp goes up. If I'm wrong, someone correct me.

But is that a bad thing? Because i assume that the temp will never rise to the NORMAL temp.

The fans you are describing are not in front of the radiator, they are in front of the a/c condensor.
The actual radiator fan is behind the radiator, attached to a temperature controlled fan clutch.
There is no fan inbetween the radiator and condensor.

Y0UNGLEXUS; Did you ever test the temp sensor on the radiator? It sounds like that sensor might be bad which isn't turning the fans on when it reaches the correct temp. If it is bad and you get a good one, then you wont have to worry about hard wiring the fan and maybe screwing something up.

Yesterday I disconnected the temp sensor and the fans in front of the radiator stay on when the key is in the ON position and while the car is turned on.
