power draw... arggggggggg
i have an issue with battery losing power pretty fast after car is shut off.. over a volt per hour. alternator is charging battery and is a new battery. i took subs and amp wire off battery and took out aftermarket alarm thinking it was draining it and no luck. fuses under the dash have power are ecu-b, fog, stop. any ideas where to look next?

The best way to test a parasitic draw is to connect a test light between the negative battery cable, and the negative terminal itsself. You can unplug fuses until the light goes very very dim, or off completly. Once this happens you have found the circuit with the draw and you can continue testing in the correct direction. The best way is to pull a diagram and find out what all the suspect fuse powers, then unplug and test from there.

Set it up just like this. The post above by T4-Teg is right on the money.
It turned out the trunk bulb in mine was on for some un-godly reason. I simply removed mine, and saw the voltage drop. No more issues.
The test of pulling fuses and watching drain is right on.

Your going to find some normal draw due to certain circuits that are always on like modules for seats memory, clock memory and maybe a couple of other things. Also when you do the above test, be sure to connect the meter as shown BUT make sure you touch the negative cable to the post to close any contacts of any relays that may be on otherwise you may get an inaccurate reading.
