Speedometer Issue
I have a 94 LS400 and the speedometer didnt register speed once. Has anyone else had this issue and whats the remedy? The gauge cluster was recently replaced and seems to work perfect with the exception of the speedometer once not registering a speed.
Thanks in Advance for any help

Could also be the driven gear attached to the speed sensor. My speedo would occasionally not register anything and I thought it was the cluster as it would come alive when I smacked the dash.
My speedo eventually stopped working after I drove through a flood. I thought the #1 sensor was stuffed, but a new sensor didn't fix the problem. Turns out the driven gear was completely worn and stripped. It's plastic and tends to wear. If you remove the sensor and the gear feels like a convex, that's most likely your issue.
