Default Door Adjustment Help Needed - 90 LS400

My drivers door check broke and then a few days later a strong wind caught this door and pushed it open. Now, while the door closes properly, this has caused wind noise from this door while I drive down the road, even at moderate speeds. When evaluating the door gaps there seems to be less of a gap now at the front of the door near the front fender by 1/8 to 3/8 of an inch (guess). Also more of a gap between the front and back doors as well by roughly the same distance. I also notice the door can be pushed in a little and may be out a little at the strike plate end of the door (vs hinge end) by a similar 1/8-3/8" distance.

Since I dont have any service manuals I could use advise on 1) how to locate these hard copy or electronic, and 2) how I could adjust the door back to proper alignment and install my replacement door check. I have also purchased extra hinges for the door just incase i need them but i cannot see any visible damage to the hinges or body which they attach to.

Thanks for the help and advise! (BTW my 90 LS400 has only 93k for mile with SC430 rims and is a real joy to drive!)

possibly just loosen the bolts at the door jam and attempt to realign it?

If anyone has the instructions in one of their shop manuals which discribes the process, I would really appreciate a copy posted here.

BTW, I did what LiCelsior said and found some improvement by pulling on the worst part of door as I tightened the bolts. 80+% of the wind noise is now gone. What an improvement! Now I think I still need the door to slide back to the rear and in a little more, but that will take a little more work and shop manual instructions.

Thanks for the help thus far!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone has

Here is what you are after. I need to make adjustments to my door too. I asked at the Toyota dealership about the Special Service Tool (cost about $20), but they said it is obsolete. I think I can just use a 12mm offset wrench, but haven't tried yet.

Blunden, that is exactly what I have been looking for!!! Now if I can only find the tool! Seriously, I really appreciate it!!!!!!

Any idea where to get a set of the service books? I figure ebay, dealer ($$$), or ? I'd even go for an electronic version if it can be found or downloaded. I believe it was the ARRC site I was on the other day but very limited info. Thanks again.
