If you used the tape that came with the curtains, it will probably leave some sticky residue...nothing that an adhesive remover like Goo Gone can't fix. I used 3M tape for the bottom rail and was able to remove it fairly easily after letting the car sit in the sun for an hour.

definately let the tape get warm before you try to remove it the curtain rails. you can use the sit in the sun method or you can get a hairdryer or heat gun at a moderate heat setting. when the tape warms up it will become more plyable and then you'll just need a soft plastic tool to seperate the panel from the tape from the rail.
be careful to take your time and not rip it off too fast.
i've never tried to remove curtains but instaling stereos for 7 years professionally i've had to remove my fair share of double sided taped things from dashes (ie: sat radio mounts, cell phone mounts, etc.)
goo gone will work well to remove the sticky residue if any is left over.. however before you use ANY solvent on the door panel try a test patch somewhere that isnt so noticable. things to watch out for on the test patch is if it solvent you are using will dry out the material of the door panel.
remember heat and patience.

Thanks. I will test solvents in a hidden area. Warm the tape before removing and use something that wont scratch the door panels. Are the top part of the 98-00 LS400 door panels vinyl? or leather?
