Exclamation Temp Gauge Issue ?

Hey guys i have a 95 ls400 , and i just changed my egr pipe the other day. I had to take apart half the car to get to it , it was a pain. After putting everything back together i started the car and everything was fine minus the fact that my Temp gauge on the dash was not moving at all . i double checked all the clips plugs etc. I do not see anything , the only thing i am thinking is that the thermostat somehow gave out ? any ideas .
thanks

ok i dont know all the terminology for the parts but i took apart all of the vaccum lines , wire harnesses. I took the top manifold off and lower. then u have the block visible and the starter. When your lookin at the starter there is a aluminum peice that runs coolant in it, it runs from the left side of the block to the right side and that covers the starter bolts . it also has the lower egr connected to it wich runs to the cats . I sprayed the bolts on the cats and let them loosen up , raised the car loosened the bottom bolts. then i loosened that aluminum peice connected to the block , and i pulled it out through the top with the egr still connected to that peice.
im gonna have to check all those connectors your refering too.
I already took the car apart ounce to change the started, but made the mistake of lifting that aluminum peice with a prybar , not knowing that the lower egr was connected to it . i cracked it . i put the whole car together , started it and it sounded like crap lol i was so mad. so dont make that mistake lol . I guess you learn from experience , im no mechanic but i know what im doing lol
