Default Fan shaking and making noise 95 ls400

Just started this morning; I changed the belt tonight thinking it was no longer good, but still the noise. I took a flashlight turned the car on and could see the fan actually wobbling forward and rearward.
Anyone else encounter this problem?

Common problem,,sounds like the fan bracket is going bad. Has bearings inside of it which lock up. Yours hasnt gone yet, but is on it's way out. How many miles on the car?

Maxgee, a few weeks ago I posted on this forum the same symptom. I hit a pot hole (pretty serious hit) and afterward the fan started making a grinding, clicking noise. Turned out the base/bearing went bad so it was replaced. Do search on the forum and see how much I spent (Autozone part). I think parts was $130; labor not too hard but have to re-do the serpentine belt (might want to change that while you are at it).

you mention autozone had your part. did it come with the fan or just the bearings base?
