Default 93 ls400 hard vibration?!

recently my 93 ls400 started shaking really hard at all the shift points while accelerating, and stays shaking if i go over 60mph. transmision was my first thought, but the tranny shop said it was ok. i can't figure it out, i only have 140,000 miles, if anyone cares to offer up some advice, i'd be happy to hear some

I would remove and inspect the transmission mount, and make sure all of the bolts are sufficiently torqued. If it feels like your car is about to shake itself apart, my guess would be that one of your mounts finally sheared itself apart, or is very close to doing so.

Where is the vibration predominant? steering wheel & shifter? seat? entire car? Only while moving or does it vibrate at specific points in the RPM range while in park? If it doesn't shake at all in park you can narrow it down to a suspension/wheel component.

i just checked, while in park it does shake at around 4500rpm(this is a guess, my cluster is being fixed right now), and while reving down. the vibration i notice first in the pedal, then it spreads through the dash and steering column

Are you using your cruise control to achieve your steady speed when you experience this?

go flush your trans fluid with Toyota T-IV.
sounds like someone put in the wrong fluid (most mechs mistakenly put in normal Dexron/Mercon spec) and the trans is slipping.

now that you mention it i did get all the fluids changed when i bought the car about 6 months ago, at wal-mart, so they probably did use the wrong stuff. do you think i should use the lucas for trans when i do the flush, i've always used it in my other cars, but not sure if it would be good for this trans, it's my first non-american car

just flush the crap out of the trans.
to put it into perspective, toyota T-IV is generally ~$4.5-6 per quart, and wal mart doesnt normally have ANYTHING that would meet those specs.
