Hey guys,

I was driving today and decided to stop by my buddies house, and while I was idling there, I noticed a white smoke coming out from under the car, exiting on the drivers side. It wasn't billowing, but it was definitely coming out pretty strong. It doesn't happen all the time, but mainly after a long break from driving the car. Is there anywhere, UNDERNEATH, the car that could be burning PS fluid? I mean, could the rack and pinion be leaking on something? It occasionally will come from under the hood, near the firewall on the drivers side. Any ideas?

haha gotcha..

does it change anything if its not coming out the exhaust, instead it coming out right beside my door and window?

THere is lots of fluid coming out....heat+fluid=smoke

check the high pressure hose where it connects to the rack.

i had the same problem on my old '95 except mine started to leak on the pump side and ran down onto the pass. side cat
