275/40/18 Tires size - Need help!
I’ve recently install OEM wheels Front 18x8.5 Rear 18x9.5 and tires F235/40/18 R275/40/18.
My car is eating rear tires rubber.
I need recommendations?
Can I fixed it or should I go with different size?
What max tires size I could go with for rear wheels?
Thanks in advance.

Didn't know OEM rims came in that size. However, most 18x9.5 rims can fit max. tire size of 295. I have 285 Nitto's on the rear with treadwear rating of 300. I got 30,000 miles on my last set of 275's. My fenders have been modified and there is no rubbing.
Depending on your treadwear rating (maybe less than 200) and driving habits will determine tread life like RA said.

The easiest way to modify the fenders is to roll them. Your local body shop/speed shop will have a roller. If they don't have a roller they can the tops of the fenders with an air saw (what I did). It cost less than $100 for front and back.
Now, I have 285's on mine and they tuck under the fender with 1/8" to spare (looks sweet). Even though a 295 would fit on my rim, it would not clear the fender with my current offset
As far as your question goes, the easiest way to see how much cutting/rolling is necessary is to load your trunk/back seat up with three friends (slowly). Hopefully you can keep your 275's as the bigger the better
I would put 315's if they'd fit

That makes sense because I have never seen the staggered LS as you said. Didn't know the 460 had those and I went to the dealer to preview it

I've got 18x9's on the rear with 275/40's on it and they clear [ I will be going back to 265/35/18's to get a height drop ] , however I don't have the plastic fender strip which fits on at the top , that will give you an extra 1/2" of clearance .

I understand where you are coming from. Be prepared for a speedometer error of approximately 4-5 MPH (too slow). I had 35's and went to 40's to get back to the right tire/rim height - now I am nearly there. Also with the 35's my fender gap increased - post a pic before and after bro.
