Gearshift sticking
Would appreciate some input on a sticky situation on my 93 ls400. gear shift sticks in park, can only move it by using overide button.
Checked fuses, all good.
Any ideas? Thank you for valuable insight in general, I find it indispensable to keep mine on the road.

Gearshift sticking
Thank you Br1an for your imput. The problem started when I was pushing the vehicle up the inclined driveway to my garage, (replacing starter motor) Motor not running and using the brake pedal to keep the car from running back. The brake system got "pumped up" and thus would not allow the pedal to go down far enough to release the switch that told the transmission it is ok to go out of park.
As soon as the starter motor was replaced (another story), the problem fixed itself, with the power assist, the brake pedal went down to normal level and opened the switch.
Thank you for your correct assesment, I am so excited about this forum and the ability it affords me to maintain and improve my silver 92 and gold 93 ls400.
The starter swop went without a hitch only because of the track left by previous members in this forum.I spent 250.00 and 18 hours which included a thorough polishing of the throttle body .Not only did the car start on the first try without any leaks, we have never had this much power from either car before. I was so impressed that I am in the process of cleaning the throttle body on the other now.
Thank you again. I am making my wish list for improvements, I think bushings comes next.
