The '97's had the transponder and side impact air bags. I'd suggest a '98+ for the VVTi motor and 5 spd tranny...also has the trip pooter for mileage and such stats. You can also mod it for a variety of HID choices. The 95-'97 are much simplier all around, a basically nice driving car though if you like just a touch more electronics, the 98+ have it.

95-97 have a more aggressive front end rather than a old man styling of the 98 thru 00.....yes the the interior has a little more options on the 98-00 but isnt the 95 more modable due to obd1 and the vvti is just a pain in the *** to mess with and tune with other mods.

Not really. OBD II is much better. Out of all things, the 95's ECU's has the most problems, and most on this site have already replaced theirs on thier 95's.
