Small gurgle or rattle at low speed when tank is near empty
Hey im on my 3rd tank of gas of owning the car for only 6 days, I've noticed after about 350 miles on the tank when i'm down to my last few gallons it starts to make a rattling noise at low rpm only, as soon as i fill up it goes away. Could this be my fuel pump starving for fluid, i sounds as if its coming from the rear of the car while driving, their is no performance hit. But its kinda odd, no gas = rattle from the car. Btw I fill it with premium and put octane booster/fuel cleaner in which each tank.

hey man try changing the fuel pump cuz my car has the same problem but my car shuts off too, while i'm driving. I changed my fuel pump and it went away. A good thing to remember is to try not to drive all the way to "e" all the time because this is wat causes the problem. But yeah try the fuel pump, if not try the temperature sensor, thats wat i changed too before the fuel pump and the problem hasn't come back since.

yeah good times, i figured it was the pump heating up since the gas tank on the ls is flat that the pump has trouble when less than 4-5 gallons is left in it.
My temp guage also only display that the cold, it only gos a little bit past the bottom quarter marker on the guage, hrmm temp sensor for coolant maybe

In this thread they talk about low fuel gurgle and temperature sensor...
Is there a link? I'm asking because I get some faint noise at low fuel sometimes AND my coolant needle never goes past quarter mark (is this bad?)
Please advice...Thanks
