Smile New Owner - Heated Seats Question

I just purchased a 1997 LS400 Coach Edition, Black on Black with every option. Beautiful in and out. I been driving mercedes for the last 3 cars and now I wish they were lexus. What a car!!! These Ls400's blow mercedes out of the water.

My question about the heated seats. They don't seem to be working. Do they have to be a certain temp before they warm up? The fuse is not blown and the little indicator light comes on. But niether seat seems to warm up.

One other thing. My car has burled walnut all the way up over the radio, A/C, Instrument panel, vents, Cd changer and door handles. What kind of package is this? I've looked at over 300 lexuses and never seen so much wood on one. This includes the Coach Editions.

Can't answer your question about the heated seats. Living in the deep South it will be several months before I turn mine on. As for the additional wood, the previous owner probably installed an aftermarket wood kit. How does it match the rest of the wood? Glad you are enjoying your car.

The temp need to be 75 degree and below in order for the seat heater to work.

Thank you JPI. I thought it might be something like that.
