Need Help On LED Tail Lights
Had a woman back into me last night, broke the drivers side tail light. I would like to replace both tail lights with LED's. I see them on Ebay for as little as $165.00 pair. SO what is the current recommendation for doing this? Do LED"s look OK without replacing the trunk lights or should I just replace the broken one with a factory light? Are there any issues with the light out indicator, and, finally, do they plug in to the factory wiring harness?
Thanks

Not sure what type of LED tail lights you're looking at, but if the turn signal portion is also LED, you may need resistors. Since LED lights draw less power than the stock bulb, they hyper-flash (rapid blinking of the turn signals), similar to how it looks like when you have a turn signal bulb out.
Resistors create enough load on the system to prevent this. Thats as much info I can provide regarding what you're doing.

It's conceivable that the new module is malfunctioning because the right tail light modules were changed a few years ago. Ask to have the modules inspected for any problems when you return to the shop.
