Best match for Garax 6K HID??? - DRLs and fog lights
Ive searched the forums and gotten answers on what doesnt match and also found a great write up from brociouz on the Garax 6k / projector fog light retro fit which I love but don't know if I will have the time to do.
I've ordered my Garax 6k bulbs and VLEDS for the parking/puddle/door/interior now I need something for DRL and Foglights
So my questions are:
Has anyone found a matching bulb for the stock fog light in an 2009 IS 250 to match the Garax 6k in color. Ive seen the LED from VLEDs but I want a bulb that actualy outputs some light. Or do I have to install an aftermarket HID kit? If so can someone recommend a kit and bulb for this that will give me the results I'm looking for.
Has anyone found a DRL/high beam bulb to match the Garax 6k? Again I don't want to use the vled because I want my high beams. I've heard silverstar ultras are better that stock but still not perfect
as always thanks in advance.

It's hard to say, but different manufacturers have different colors for their lights. Even though they may be rated at the same color or given the same name, the different type of manufacturer will have an affect on what color is produced.
In my experience, our 6000K HID kits match up very nicely with the Garax 6000K bulbs we have available. For the High Beam/DRL, the best bet would be to go LEDs.
Since LEDs and HIDs produce light differently, the light may not be 100% similar, but it should be very close though.

DDM Tuning makes a good kit that has been thoroughly reviewed all over the net.. and for 1/4 of the price of some other guys and with a fully supported lifetime warranty.
Same digital slim ballast, 6000k, good quality bulbs.. $30.
Check out the CL thread on them..

Unlike many other companies, we rate our bulbs based on their true kelvin temperature. Do some searching and you will find that may companies don't actually do this and simply use one color temperature for several different descriptions to "offer" their customers a wider variety of color temperatures.
