Default how much effort to retrofit D2R bulbs into the stock GS halogen headlights

How easy/difficult is it to retrofit the stock HID bulbs (D2R) into the standard GS halogen (9006) headlights?

just put the bulbs in? not too hard, get a 9006 base, put it in, and it will fit

Like Henry said, putting in not hard. You need to find the right focal point, therefore light will reflect on the road correctly. I tried that before, hard to make a good light pattern.

The hardest part is probably centering the HID bulb to the 9006 base...and securing it down in that absolute position....then trying to do another one exactly like it.

Also...make sure the return ground wire in facing down (6 o'clock) position in the 9006 base when locked-in place.....so that the cutoff line is facing upward as it should.

i thought the cut off line is caused by the metal sheild on the bulb?

anyway, actually if you get a hid kits 9006, sometimes the ground wire doesn't point down.... that's the case for the kit in my fogs, kinda stupid @_@

When you have a HID kit, it's most likely a D2S bulb. So does it matter for ground wire to point at 6 oclock?
