CEC announces Lexus LFA customization program
Los Angeles-based tuner CEC has announced a new partnership with Lexus North America to create a tuning program for the Lexus LFA. Limited to just three vehicles, these unique supercars will feature a variety of enhancements created specifically for each customer. "We believe these three CEC Tuner Edition LFAs will be the most expensive and rarest of all the LFA supercars that Lexus will manufacturer and sell worldwide," said Sherif Yassa, Vice President of CEC.
Thanks to the technical innovations that went into building the LFA, the CEC upgrades will mostly be limited to aesthetics. "We looked at the LFA and what Lexus engineers had done, and knew it would be crazy to try and improve it from a performance or engineering standpoint," said Claus Ettensberger, founder of CEC. Even so, the tuner has managed to squeeze an extra 10 horsepower from the 4.8-liter V10 and trimmed shift times to .15 of a second.
While we don't have any photos of the trio of custom LFA supercars quite yet, CEC did have an LFA on display featuring their lightweight forged wheels

Not sure if it will look like that since the story says they didnt provide any pictures. Kind of like it though. It sounds like the ring package without the ridiculous wing. I guess the big question is if they are getting the 3 cars directly from Lexus then CEC sells them or if they are customer cars that want to upgrade to that package? Either way, I think this is damn cool!!

Slight power upgrade and faster shift times, nice .
I can't WAIT to see what the top Japanese tuning houses will do with the LFA. Specifically, I hope that Top Secret gets their hands on an LFA and makes a monster out of it.

Bad journalism. If you check out the video interview posted on the general Car Chat forum here on CL, you'll see that Claus Ettensberger says that the special CEC LFAs will be based on the Nürburgring Edition and that there won't be any performance modifications, and that explains the power bump and faster shift times reported in the OP linked article because they're the same as what the Nürburgring Edition gets.

Nevertheless, it will be cool to see what CEC does to the LFA.

I really hope they would be able to extract much more power than just a piddly 10 horsepower given the engine is still restricted from factory, even if it is putting down 115 HP/Liter since it has to meet the very stringent Euro 5 emissions standards.
It definitely has the potential to be up to 125 HP/Liter over 600 + HP with a less restrictive exhaust and tune.

That's pretty fail. What're they gonna do? Put some wheels on it and badges? The Nurb edition is where it's at. The Fixed wing looks fine. In fact I think it looks better than the regular LFA wing. Not only is it wider, but it's carbon fiber and fixed, therefor it's lighter.
