FS: TOYOMOTO 2JZGTE LEXUS IS250 w/ADV.1 Wheels, E85, 600+WHP
MODS: If I need someone to vouch for me, just let me know. Not a problem. thanks
Hey guys, the time has finally come to part ways with this car. I get questions and numerous emails all the time asking about the car and how the swap was done. If you ask anyone who has done research or put any thought into doing an engine swap to an IS250, they will tell you just how hard and complicated something like this is to complete. This project required extensive fabrication and wiring far beyond anything most people could imagine. It is the only 2nd gen IS250 in the United States with this motor swap (from what I know). Out of all (which is very few I believe) of the engine swaps done on the Lexus IS platform, I believe this car retains the most OEM functionality.
The car was built by Lance Ho Lung from Toyomoto and took almost three years to complete. As many of you know already, Lance is my father. Being that the car is still in the family, no one else has ever worked on or tampered with this car but myself or my father. I believe this is also partly the reason why nobody else has replicated the engine swap yet. Features such as the factory smart-key FOB system, A/C, power windows, and the digital read out display within the factory gauge cluster all work on this car. This car also still retains the original Electronic Power Steering and uses Drive-by-Wire. Working features also include the paddle shifters, and cruise control as well. The only thing that does not function is VSC (vehicle stability control).
This is a one owner car. Upon completion in December of 2010, my mother was driving the car daily until mid-2013. When finished, it made 494HP at the rear wheels on the dyno with a Precision 6765 turbo. In 2014, the turbo finally went out and was replaced with a Precision 6768 which is slightly bigger, but more importantly, is a much more reliable turbo. On the dyno it ended up making 505HP and 460TQ on 93 octane pump gas. Since I took over driving the car, it currently sits at home in the garage and is driven a couple times a month either by either myself or my dad. In the past year and half, I have put on wheels, coilover suspension, upgraded the brakes, among other stuff just to make the car stand out and look special. This is a special car to me and I really hope it goes to a good home and continues to be well taken care of.
9/21/2015 UPDATE: The Precision 6768 has been replaced with a Master Power Billet 67mm Turbo. I also took the time to upgrade the fuel system in the car installing the new Walbro 485 fuel pump, Bosch Motorsports 1300cc injectors, and putting the car on e85 ethanol. Got it tuned last week.
It made 626HP at the wheels on E85 ethanol. It is currently set at 570whp and is plenty fast. I can retune the car on pump gas if the new owner would like. Just let me know.
Here is a list of the main upgrades the car has:
Complete 2JZGTE VVT-I Aristo V300 Engine and Transmission Swap
AEM Series 2 Standalone ECU
Master Power 67mm Billet Turbocharger

I can personally vouch for Matt for the sale of this car. I've personally seen this car being wired up by Lance himself with great care and scrutiny. I've ridden in this car and let me tell you it has the perfect combination of speed and comfort. Rest assured the new buyer will receive a well put together car that will continue to turn heads at any car show. GLWS

Thats cool
Your dad was and still is a pioneer.
I remember reading about him back in the days.
Time goes by and he is still doing the business...which is just killer
I remember his article in Turbo magazine about his red MKIII Supra.
Good luck with the sale.

Hmmm tempting. Is the VVTi enabled? Seems a bit laggy compared to most of the vvti cars we finish. Does it have all vins or paint work? I'm assuming the stock ecu is used in conjunction with the AEM? Was a jumper harness used? I'd swap it to a Proefi, just trying to get a idea in my head of all I need/want to do. Does it still have a functional OBD2 port?
Thanks
Steve

Got a little extension on time to get another car that I am considering, so its still up for sale.
Cant go any lower than this.
$30,000 without the ADV.1 Wheels
$33,000 with ADV.1 Wheels

My God. I'll admit when I first saw this on IG for sale a few months ago I said this guy is nuts with the price!! But here I am stalking this thread wishing I had the extra cash to buy this thing LOL. If it was a 6sp it would have been over for me lol.
