Fully modded 1998 GS400.... $7000 obo (PRICE DROP!!!)
$7000 obo
This really pains me. This is my 2nd GS and it has every mod save for forced induction. And while i've kicked around that idea of boost...shout out to LIV Auto in Va...I think the time has come to part ways.
This GS has been a legend on this board....it was TinyGS's old whip. And it...has...everything. New and old. A run down of the mods....
i feel positive I am leaving something out. And if i find something...I will update it. Point is...this car is ready for show. Or go. I recently did a paint correction and the results were phenomenal. But...lets be real...its 15 yrs old. There are rock chips on the bumper and hood. Nothing major...but there. And everyone knows about the horrid job that Lexus did with painting the side mirrors.
The interior is excellent. Save for a 2" tear on the driver's seat. But Clazzio is the best in the business.
So there you have it. I never wanted to sell this car. And I'm still not sure I want to. If i can get close to the asking price...I will. If I only get ridiculous lowballs...then she stays in the stable. I am posting it here, first, because I know that CL members will appreciate the mods and care done with this car. I hope that she stays on CL.
The only real ding towards this car is the mileage....237K. Yes...its a bit high. But its also a Lexus. She doesnt leak a bit of ANY fluid...save for condensation. Oh...and the A/C condenser was replaced in 2012. Thats damn near the biggest replacement cost on these cars....minus the engine.
I will post more pics, later. Wheels...interior...paint correction...etc. These are some that I've taken in the past few months.
Supra calipers w/Stoptech rotors
4" Zauber rear lip
Paint correction...

- 19" Zauber Gettins - 19x9 f & 19x10r. They have been reconditioned to an almost new status. HOWEVER...the damn company lost the center caps. I still smart over that one. But they are in top condition...minus some rash on the left front. Tires are 235/40 up front (brand new) and 275/30 in the rear. I will have a pic showing the tread.
- Supra Big Brakes - Painted black
- Goodrich stainless steel brake lines - Unreal stopping power AND feel
- Stoptech Rotors - Well...they look good. New rotors in the front as of June.
- PI Dragon Torque Converter - a must for the 1UZ
- Supra Turbo LSD - The car came originally with an open differential and a 3.26 final drive ratio. Installing the limited slip differential from a 4th generation Toyota Supra Turbo not only improves the handling but also makes the car significantly quicker due to it's 3.77 final drive.
- B&M Transmission Cooler - a MUST if you have a high stall TC. Unless you're fond of replacing your tranny
- Eibach springs/L-Tuned shocks - Power without control is nothing. Oh..and the drop is nice and subtle.
- TRD front/rear sway bars - Flat cornering? We got that...
- SRT Intake/ECU - i remember the flame wars back in 2001. Lets just leave it at this
- Borla axle-back exhaust - For the money...the back sounding exhaust on the market. No drone. Classy. Strong.
- UGO carbon fiber front/rear strut bars - Discontinued. Rare. All strut bars may be created equal...but none look this good
- TTE rear lip spoiler - No fake...the real thing. Again...discontinued. Rare. I was always partial to the factory wing, but this wing really accents the car and doesnt take away from the meaty rims/tires in the back
- Pioneer DEH-9800BT - One of the 1st Bluetooth audio receivers. So much so that I had the installer put in an audio jack right next to the head unit because I hade never HEARD of such witchcraft. Polk Audio front are accomplices to this audio assault. As well as an MTX amp running mono on the factory sub.
- HID's - with the accompanying LED parking lights and LED fog lights
- Full LED interior - with matching license plate lights
- Supra Spare Tire - Along with the full-sized Lexus spare. I had to get the Supra spare to fit the big brake caliper. Its there....
