WANT TO IMPORT an IS-F
Hi,
I am new to CL. I live in Dubai, UAE and currently drive an 08' IS 300 and want to buy an IS-F desperately.
The IS-F was officially launched in this region in 2010 and is honestly way overpriced here ($85,500). Its quite difficult to find a pre-owned one in good condition. Most of the IS-F's here have been imported from America, and i would like to do the same.
Here is what I am looking for:
1) A Clean title (if it had a minor accident and was repaired at a certified lexus workshop with OEM parts is also okay).
2) the mileage should be no greater than 45k miles (the lower the better).
3) Color preference Ultrasonic Blue (i wouldn't mind another color if its a good deal)
4) Price range between 35 - 37K ( I have to also take into consideration shipping costs and custom clearance once it arrives here).
If anybody has information regrading car exports or knows someone that can help, i would be highly appreciative.
Thanks

I am aware of the differences (they aren't that many actually). I took 1 for a test drive and the only differences are the speedometer is in KM's instead of miles and the radio can tune to both odd and even channels.
To the most of my knowledge its the same car (correct me if I'm wrong), except for the things i mentioned. to the extent that you only get heated seats in the ISF (even Gulf Spec), and the regular IS models gulf spec come with air conditioned seats.
Do you own an IS-F American Spec?

not to be a deal breaker. But you wont find anyone selling an IS-F for under $40k in the US. Unless the mileage is really high, or it has a rebuilt title.
For what you are looking to spend, i would just wait it out and find one used in Dubai.
Good Luck
