Question iPhone Contact Sync with Repeated Tone Symbols

I cannot get contact entries with what Lexus calls "Repeated Tone Symbols" (pause or wait, followed by tones) to properly sync between my 2014 GSh with Nav and an iPhone 5.

The contact entry on the iPhone to dial a number, wait, then send a passcode, would be something like "800-555-1212;12345#". It seems that the vehicle system wants"800-555-1212w12345#".

If I code the entry on the iPhone using the ";" for wait, the vehicle system ignores everything after the symbol.

If I code the entry on the iPhone using "w" for wait, it does not transfer properly to the vehicle system.

I am unable to edit the contacts directly on the vehicle system. I believe that this is because the iPhone uses the PBAP Bluetooth protocol.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
