Default Laser (LIDAR) Jammer Installation

I just installed a Jammer for anyone pointing a Laser (LIDAR) gun at my LS430. The heated transceiver (contains a detector and laser diode) and is mounted under the front license plate of my LS430. It detects the incoming LIDAR signal and sounds a small buzzer inside the car while returning a jamming signal for 5 seconds. Just enough time to slow down while the officer questions his faulty Laser gun. The install was pretty simple with the most difficult part passing the wire through the firewall.

My research narrowed it down between the Blinder M-10 Twin and Lidatek LE-20. I went with the Lidatek LE-20 (www.lidatek.com) based on a couple of laser jamming reviews on the web, like the one at www.radartest.com. I stopped by Lidatek today (local to me in WA state) and they even helped on the best placement of the transceiver for my Lexus.

I'll let you know my results OR the officer will let me know his results I was very careful researching and selecting the best equipment that was independently tested. I'm also adding a radar detector (V1) and radar jammer ... when they can jam Ka band. You are right in asking if it works - many products in these catagories don't perform as advertised - buyer beware.

This equipment is all part of my smart defense systems for every day driving. My stealth license plate covers and other mods, like smoke screen, rockets, oil slick and tire spikes will round out my defense systems. At least I'll try to use them only defensively.

Why did you decide on V1. The reviews on the web site that reviewed the laser jammer rated the V1 very low. I'm just curious,. I have a V1 and love it.

I'm not counting on the V1 for detecting laser, the Lidatek LE-20 will do that and jam it too. It's hard to detect Lidar on your dash or visor when the police are trained to shoot at your front plate or chrome.
