Default To activate a stock alarm.

hey guys,
last night i accidentally lock myself in the car using the remote and i opened without using the remote, since im still inside of the car, amazingly suprised my car's alarm didn't went off. Why..?? On other people's alarm, normally the alarm should went off when that happened, but how come my stock factory OEM alarm didn't go off..?? And next, I try to turn the ignition on w/out disarming my alarm, and again my alarm didn't go off. WHy..?? Does my remote only work as a keyless entry only..?? I felt a lil' cheated by it, so today i tried to hold on and pressed the panic button and suprisingly the alarm went off . But what happened my alarm if somebody try to break in to my car or try to turn it on w/out disarming the system..?? Is there any way of we can try to check if the alarms is working..?? Any input you guys..??

thanks,
Ray

Your stock alarm system might work the same as in my RX300. Try this, lower your window all the way down or lock your self in the car. Lock the doors using your key remote and wait till the security light blinks a few seconds, then try to open the door. Then it should go off. You probably didn't give it time to arm its self.
