IPod or replace 12 Disk Changer?
My 12 disk cd changer worked for only one day after I bought My Lexo... I spend 40 dollars to have the stuck cd inside removed, but It still never worked after that day....Since then ive looked high and low for a replacment...No luck though!!!! to much money. Well I Now have a IPod Nano!!! It holds way more songs (500) than that stupid changer... I have a wireless adapter, and a tape deck adapter for the tape deck " I use the tape deck adapter most of the time" better sound. My IPod only costed 150.00 Thats a lot less money than those changers that may not even work, and It sounds sooooooo good!!
You will love it with up to 500 songs sitting right there in your cup holder..lol..lol..

that's exactly what I do. The video Ipod fits better in the cupholder though. Nano's can fall out under hard cornering.
If you have the money you can just get a headunit that has ipod integration built into it, which would probably sound a lot better than any adapter. That's the only thing I can think of since our car's have no auxillary option to hook up to. From what I've heard its been a ***** to try to put in.

there is a piece of plastic with the lexus logo on it (in front of the center armrest where the seat heater buttons would be) that fits the 30 GB ipod perfectly. I was thinking about making it a retractable holder/charger/plugin/ for my ipod this summer...the only thing is it would be a pain having it up and trying to shift.
Now if it could come out and then flip back, sort of like an indash monitor system...that would be nice.

Go with the IPOD. I just got a Video Ipod with a tape adaptor and it sounds great. Cant notice the difference with CD quality. Dont go for the expensive radio adapters.. they sound like crap .
One downside is that you can readily see the song that is currently playing... and its a bit of a hassle to change songs

That is a HUGE downside for me. I had my Ipod hooked into an FM transmitter, which was great and worked fine. The major problem I had was that it was such a hassle and driving hazard to jump to a song I wanted using the IPOD.
I just got rid of it and decided to go all out and build a carputer. Looking for a song on the Ipod while driving can get you killed

My computer is full of MP3's. All I do is pug the Ipod in and press update.

You can also try looking into headunits that can play mp3s burned on DVDs. That's over 4 gigs on each disc (~800 songs). No need for adapters to connect and disconnect. Easy song skipping. Some headunits even display the name of the song. Since everything is done within the HU you're getting top sound quality.
