I'm not much of an SPL guy as most of the members on the board can tell you, but it sounds like a good SPL setup to me. As long as you're not using the Kicker L7's (They SUCK) then you're fine. Mean Gene and others are more educated on the SPL realm than I am!
I've had another GS owner who loaded 2 12's in his car. His stock system was the NAK and the bass completely overpowered the rest of the system. Just be sure to keep the levels in check otherwise it's going to be a "boom boom" car with no vocals or treble!

I have one 12 inch sub in a box and the rest of the speakers are running from the stock amp. I've turned the sub down pretty low to be in level with the rest of the system.
If I turn the sub up, without being close to maxing out I can make the whole car vibrate, get resonance and rattles and totally overpower the rest of the system. I can't imagine why 2 subs would be necessary if the rest is stock.

I'm back!! K - The first setup ( Fosgate ) would be my preferred choice because I have alot of experience with Fosgate ( mostly good ). MTX isn't bad but, IMO, it's a step below Rockford. SPL stands for Sound Pressure Level or the Boom-Boom that U hear coming from all those Civics ( along with the rattles!! ). Percy & Overtaxed are correct - two 12's will dominate the wimpy 4" factory Pioneers. Heck, my two HX2 12's drown out the 8" midbasses sometimes! U'll need to turn the bass control WAY down to have any kind of balance. Unless U R heavily into bass, I'd change out the door speakers to some of the brands mentioned elsewhere in this Forum & put a good multi-channel amp on those first. THEN consider upgrading to a single 12 or possibly two. As Percy asked - what are your system goals?
