Audio Install

Audio Install
Well after 15 years I think the old dawg audio components are one foot in the grave. so I gave them a complete shove and started burying them
I opted to Keep the audio install as simple as possible but upgraded.
I chose a Pioneer DEH-P5000UB Single DIN headunit (So I can mount a DIN pocket for storage) It also had Aux in and USB input. So I think that fits my needs well.
I chose MBQuart Discus 6.5" Components for the Doors, and MBQuart Discus Coaxial 6.5" for rear speakers.
I went this a 5 channel MBQuart Amp for simplicity 80w x4 and 300w x1
I chose two Kicker 8" square solobaric for my subs.
Aside from that and the regular wiring and what nots. I opted this time around to dynamat the Supra as the car was pretty noisy to begin with.
I used Dynamat Original on the outer door skins and trunk floor. I used Dynamat Xtreme on the inner door skins and floor board under rear seat.
It took me quite a while to clean the car as I had 15years of crud to remove and hot water mixed with 409 was my friend!!
after cleaning the car thoroughly with hot water and cleanser, I dried it up and ran a heat gun over crevaces to dry up all the remaining water. i also cleaner and blew out my door with m compressor blower. I found car show flyers, business cards and sandpaper from bodyshop stuck in doors. aong with dirt and sand.... it all came out and was cleaned to like new.
I then made by Subwoofer box from a suggestion thread I found on Supraforums. it was quick and obviously affordable as a temporary solution.
I then also made mounting hardware for the door speaker out of Acrylic 1/4" sheets.
I put it all together today (took me about 7hrs, just to clean and do the front doors)
Here are some pics.... I built the subwoofer box last weekend and let it set in place.

Subwoofer box fit nicely and is held in place via the spare tire bolt - Great idea from Supraforums.
Dynamat Original covers the entire trunk floor to give some acoustic help for sub box. Notice the use of expansion foam to keep box in place too.
Foam sealed on inside as well.. Silicone was used on lower edge of sub box where it meets the trunk floor. Foam fill is what that missed.
Completed Drivers & Pass Door - Dyna Orig outside Dyna Xtreme Inside.
Here is my drivers seat 1 month into things. I lay that nylon case flat ad plop my **** onto it to move the car around.
Before I did all that I installed my CF GT3 Mirrors.
Saturday update complete.... More to come afte Sunday wrap up
Damage Done...
A few nice slices on my hands from cleaning inside doors. A nasty burn on my left palm from inadvertenty leaning on a HOT HEAT GUN NOZZLE when trying to fix the rear dynamat. (That hurt like a ****!!!!) I heard the sizzle!!
Im still alive and kickin though Stay tuned

Well... I got the radio installed an I reassembled the dash and center console. I finished up mounting the components speakers in the front door and mounted the rear coaxial speakers. i will snap some pics tomorrow.... Im kinda beat.
All thats left to do is:
Run front speaker wires to amp.
Run Power Wire for amp.
Connect all RCA's and wires to amp
Connect Sub's to amp
Test system out

Nice System, Cant wait to see and hear it in person. I was trying to build a box in the stock location and fit an 8" JL audio but gave up just planning to buy a premade box and call it a day.

trust me I know what you mean... I tried looking for a box for stock location but couldnt find one. I ended up doing this fast DIY box to hold me over until I find what I really want. I didnt want to do Nazar's 3x6" JL box I just dont think 6" subs will do it for me (call me old)
i wanted to retain my spare but I figured I'll live without it.
