Default Lexus clear bra?

Lexus protective clear bra: Anyone have this installed. I'm weighing the options between the factory Lexus bra and Xpel. I want to get the full hood done. Xpel installer quoted me $500 for full hood and $400 for full bumper. Just thinking if I have Lexus do it they will be able to make and match any minor touch ups on paint prior to install. Not sure on what brand film they use but I am going to call today to ask and get a quote. Opinions, comments, suggestions?

There is another option that I have been using recently (after using Xpel for a number of years) at the suggestion of a very good friend of mine who happens to work at a BMW dealer where I have done business.

It is the latest incarnation of 3M's product line. This installer stocks both Xpel and 3M. This new 3M is 'self healing', if it gets a minor contusion, it 'heals' itself after being exposed to direct sunlight. I couldn't believe it, but after seeing a demo, seeing was believing. Recently did my F and my wife's 3G IS. Stuff rocks.

Additionally, I got a touch up pen from the Lexus dealer and touched up some minor blemishes myself prior to installation (car had 7k miles on it when I got it).

Finally, this time around I only did the leading edge of the hood (as opposed to the entire hood as on the majority of past vehicles), along with the leading edge of the fenders, the entire bumper, the mirrors, headlights, fog lights, and door handle pockets.

I have the Lexus installed clear bra, I don't have any complaints but I believe Xpel would be a superior product. The Lexus product is definitely visible whereas Xpel seems to hide their lines better.

Xpel Ultimate also is self healing and has a 10 year warranty against peeling, yellowing, cracking, etc. $900 for the full hood and bumper seems okay. I paid $1300 for the full hood, bumper, full fender, mirror caps and headlights. Make sure you are given the warranty packet after the install.

Keep in mind that you should be able to get the front bumper re-painted for about $600, so also factor that in as an option.

Xpel FTW! I have the Lexus for the rear bumper and sides and it's too visible. I saw one with 3m and it's visible with the partial kit.I didn't get xpel yet and have nasty rock chips on my bumper and one on my hood.

Here are pics from my Xpel install. 24" up the hood, full front bumper, headlights, door pockets and part of the front quarter panels on line with the hood. It was $750 total. Very happy with the look
