Default Prices paid for Xpel PPF - Any New England owners???

Hello CL community,

I want to get the Xpel PPF for my IS250 F-Sport and can't find nothing but 1 authorized dealer in the area. Went in today and got a quote for $1,873.50 including taxes. Here's how it's broken down:

$145.95 Lens Covers
$278.57 Partial Hood, Fenders, Mirrors
$480.95 Front bumper
Total for Xpel = $905.47

Car prep: includes exterior paint cleanse, single stage machine polish, full IPA wipe down, Application of C1, interior vacuum, windows, light interior wipe down, full door jamb cleanse
$657.72

EXO Coating $237.72

Total price = $1,800.91 + taxes ($72.59) = $1,873.50

Does this sound reasonable to you? I think the car prep is a rip-off Will try with Lexus dealer tomorrow to see how much they charge and what stuff they use.

Lexi where are you located? Join the Mass Tuning group on Facebook. I'm sure you'll get good local feedback there. There's a guy on there who does installs.

The prices for the actual film install sound very reasonable to me and are close to what I paid. However, my Xpel authorized dealer did not charge me additionally for any of the prep of my paint. All of that was just included in the install prices (though he didn't clean my interior or anything, the car was brand new. Did you ask for your interior to be cleaned? That's sort of dumb in my opinion).

I got XPEL full hood (including DRL and headlights, back of mirror) for $1600 + Tax (8%)
The original cost was $1700, but the owner knocked 100 off when I told him it's a bit high.

I'm in CT. Sorry, I'm not on Facebook, so can't join the Mass Tuning group. Do they have a profile on CL??

I just asked for a quote on Xpel PPF and the guy gave me that price of $1,873.00 for everything. I then asked what was included and he said the car prep along with the materials. I think it's ridiculous to prep a brand new car (1 week old) to apply Xpel, but he claims there may be scratches on the paint when they put the car under an UV light or something.

I had the dealer install what they had Autobahnd its was the name. I got the front bumper, 1/3 of the hood and the mirrors for $599.00. They knocked off $100.00 for buying the car there. Im not so sure the trunk area would need to be done. All the damage happens in the front most of the time
