To keep the Lexus or not? Your perspective welcome :)

^Good point, if you're not hurting for money. Bite the bullet and get it out of your system.
Then, with gas prices falling, you can get your wife a nice Cadillac Escalade with 15 mpg. The kids will love it.

Like half of the people here, I also think life is short and you can live responsibly while enjoying it. The question you have to ask is - what's your priority? For me, I've already bought 2 homes and have a great career. Lexus isn't a necessity, but I love cars. I'd rather skip fancy dinners and designer brands for a nice ride. Based on the numbers you gave us, I think you are in a good shape financially. If you have passion for cars and IS350 fulfills this need, I say you keep it. If cars don't mean more than a commuting tool to you, save the money for something else that you'd rather have. Travelling, expanding family, or investments, etc...

OP the same thought went through my head..
I bought the 2014 IS350 in Jan of this year, I only have 5500km on it so far (even less per month than what you drive). I have 2 cars at home, and walk to work. Between my wife's and my income, we live comfortably (mortgage almost paid off, and still manage to max out of savings). The safety aspect is something that we pay attention to, and I believe the Lexus can protect us enough with all of its safety features.
55k for a car that's reliable, safe and fun to drive to keep for 10 years is a no brainer in my mind.
