i use eco mode on freeday and normal in the city. Generally sport/+ in manual when i feel the need for speed

The gears are determined by rpm in sport mode when you're just cruising. When you go above 90 mph on the freeway, the car goes into 8th gear in auto. It tries to stay at higher rpm than in normal mode so you get more throttle response.

You do have a point. Why 350 F sport? Time to unlearn other modes.
