Had to buy non matching rear tire and drive 200 miles home...
My RWD I350 is 2 weeks old. I got a low tire alert and found a large screw in my right rear tire, right on the tire shoulder (not pluggable). I was 200 miles from home, I have to work tomorrow. No Turanzas w/in 50 miles today. I had to put on a same size 255/35 19 but a Potenza to get home. What are my concerns on the rear diff?

You will be fine it doesn't matter it will matter if it's an subaru awd. Also it can be plugged I plugged my tires on another car right on the edge was fine for 3k miles then sold the wheels.

Should have no issues with the off tire provided it is sized the same as the OE tire. As for plugging, you usually can plug a tire unless the issue is with the sidewall. Plugging can be a long or short term solution. But I would not be comfortable on a plugged tire. Especially at a high rate of speed.
