Hi all...so interestingly enough I brought my 2014 IS 350 F Sport to the dealership to have it serviced. When I received the loaner (same model) I noticed the steering wheel was power adjusted. In my car, you have to manually adjust the steering wheel.

This isn't a big deal but just curious why there were two different designs.

And if no one knows why...I created a poll to find out who had what type.

Because Power Steering wheel is an option and = more money

It's part of the VGRS package which includes power tilt/telescoping steering column (optional equipment)

My car came off the lot & luckily it had this feature.

You're not missing much in my opinion. 3IS F-Sport doesn't come with memory seats, which is a huge let down (even my old 2gs had it). The power tilt steering is good only when it's combined with memory seats function, also easy in/out access such as in RX or ES. Without it, it is rather useless. How many times do you adjust your steering wheel position anyway? Most people use their 3IS as their daily driver, and once you find the right position, it will stay that way for a long time. Doesn't matter if you adjust it manually or not. Juat my $0.02.

Not available in Canada on F sport. Very poor by Lexus. The version they brag about has a lot less content.

You get the power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel in 3 packages: Luxury, Luxury and Technology, or VGRS (see here). So the loaner you got was either a Non-F-Sport with Luxury, or Luxury and Technology Package, or a F-sport with VGRS.
