Warm air from outside
I have a 2014 Lexus IS350 Fsport. When i press the button outside air mode and no fans are on. I get warm/hot air even when the outside temp is cold. Anyone have this issue ?

I noticed the same thing before I drove the car off the dealer's lot. I had a technician check it and was told it was normal. Although this wasn't a satisfying explanation, it hasn't really been problematic, and I've barely been aware of it since.

I noticed this too. For example, its been very cold so my settings are on hi for temperatures. Next day it is randomly warm so when I get into the car, I turn off the heating altogether. After a while, I'm sitting and starting to get really warm, put my fingers up to the vents and the hot air is coming out. So I figured this out too, turn it on, lower the temp, then turn it off.
My only question is.. isn't there a way to just turn it off completely? Shouldn't "off" mean off? If I wanted air to come out from the vent, isn't that the point of using the lowest fan setting instead?
Again, as the guy mentioned above, annoying, but nothing crazy. Just wondering myself as well.

I always tilt the sunroof upwards while driving with he fan off it blows the outside air into my face at a higher speed than with the sunroof not tilted up.. try it you will see it makes a huge difference!

The explanation is that when you're going down the highway and you have the a/c set to fresh air the force of the air coming off the hood will go through your a/c system at whatever the temp was set to. The only problem with that is the compressor isn't on so if the blend door is even slightly open to the heater core side it will go through there as well and warm up the air. Set your temp to low or just put it on recirc when you have the air off.
