Getting rid of the Nav screen on start up
I've got a '14 IS 350 F (less than a week old). Every time I start the car it defaults to the Nav screen, as opposed to the last screen I was viewing.
I called my dealer, where a tech told me to turn off auto screen in settings, and the last setting would be remembered. I did so and it made no difference.
Any advice on how I can accomplish this?
Thanks.

It's even worse actually, because if you do select the map, you still don't get it, you get the map and destination set up screen and you have to separately back out of that to get to the full map screen.
The sat nav and media firmware seems rather immature...

Mine is set to off but still defaults to the NAV screen. I'd like for it to default to the Home screen. There's no way to explicitly set that as your default screen, is there?

Mine does that as well on my 250. Another thing is whenever I'm in my media, it'll switch to the split screen after about 30 seconds. But on the Navi, it stays on that screen...

I came here to ask this as well. The "fix" provided above does resume your previous screen when you turn the car off, EXCEPT if you're on the Home Screen, which then defaults back to the Nav screen when you start up. Considering it's called the freakin' HOME screen you'd think that would be the default instead of Nav, or at the very least you could resume to it, but nope. Such a strange choice by Lexus.
