Default One exhaust tip has more soot on it. Normal?

Hey Guys,

I have a 2011 IS 350 with an F Sport exhaust on it. Something i noticed recently was that there is alot more black soot on the passenger side exhaust tip. Is that normal? I also remembered in the winter time i would see the same exhaust pipe having alot more exhaust then on the driver side.

Anyone else experience this? Thanks!

Since the 2 gen ISX50 has a 2 into one into 2 exhaust system, and since the F-Sport exhaust is an axel back system, it only means one side (after the Y split) flows a little better than the other. Means absolutely nothing.

It's normal and happens to everyone with the f-sport none or with logo on the 2IS. passenger side have less packing than the driver side box muffler. so creating more flow from the right.

Normal. Had mine for a year now. I carry some napkins and wipe it every now and then when I walk away from my car.

As stated above, it's normal. If you look through the passenger "muffler" it's just a straight pipe.

If you detail the car get some good quality wax to put on the exhaust tips. This will help remove the carbon buildup much easier during weekly washes.
