This is probably a dumb question but would the changes to the suspension of the f-sport package make the car inherently less reliable or require more maintenance compared to a non f-sport IS? Especially if the roads in my area are poor and uneven/full of potholes?

No they won't.

Whether or not you get the F Sport Factory Package IS or a regular IS, it will not affect the reliability or maintenance of the car.

Nope. I have the sport which is basically the same from my understanding and maintenance is the same as any other 2IS

yeah.. this wasnt smart, but not dumb either.. most f-sport packages are aesthetic, suspension doesnt drip so much which many members have deemed as way dumb.. in fact if you swap to isf suspension it offers a better drop than fsport springs..
