F-Sport worth it?
Hello all,
I have my heart set on getting a Infrared RC. I have done searches around my area on autotrader but most of the Infrared RC out there aren't F-Sport. Should I just go ahead and get a regular RC in the color I want or get a F-Sport model. I just love the aggressiveness the F-Sport gives the car. My other color choices would be USB, white or black.

I think you'll have a better time getting an answer from the dedicated RC Forums.
However, as an IS F Sport owner, I can say that I have no regrets going for the F Sport on my IS. The perforated-leather steering wheel and sportier seats are totally worth it for me, in addition to the more aggressive styling on the outside. Not to mention, the black headliner is a lot nicer and more unique than the headliner on the "base" models.
That said, it does cost money to get the F Sport package. Just depends on what you want. Go test-drive the car.

F? absolutely...
F-sport? who cares... that's just a matter of personal taste and preference, only you can answer whether it's worth it or not
i personally say no since i don't care for things that give the appearance of more speed without giving more actual speed lol... plus i like my lexii to be soft and comfortable sleepers

I like the two-tone wine-red seat option in F-Sport versions, but, on most Lexus products, you can have the rest of the package. All it does is stiffen up the ride and take out the wood trim from the interior. The lone exception seems to be the UX.....I found the UX Hybrid F-Sport package to have quite nice road manners, and its interior seemed of a higher quality, with better materials, than the standard version.
I'm an F Sport fan and therefore biased and wouldn't buy it any other way. Why? Simply for the look of the exterior and interior detail differences like the seats, stitching, etc. Also, you'll get AVS which you don't on the non-F Sport for the RC which makes for a slightly more polished ride. P.S I loved Infrared on the RC F, its depth and liquid look to it though if I had a choice for USB, I'd equally go for it. Good luck and have fun shopping!

To me, the F-sport is only a consideration for the RC, IS and GS as its a well rounded option that actually adds looks, handling, and performance characteristics over non F sport models. IMHO: all others in the lineup should be had with a Lux pkg / ultra lux pkg if offered to match the original/factory driving dynamics.
Depends on your priorities - if you prefer the looks of the F-sport, you should get it (in the color you want) because you might regret it otherwise!

I agree with these guys, and on both of my new lexus, I went with the F-sports.
However with the US market NX, the F sport didn't come with AVS so that was a bummer there.

You just answered your own question there. If you didn't "love" it, then there's no need for the F-sport.

35, male, electronics engineer. 2019 NX300 Fsport1. Not my ideal car. a week after I leased a 2018 IS300 Fsport2 found out my wife was pregnant. After buying car seat and stroller we realized it was never going to work with the IS so had to upgrade 8 months into the lease.

It mainly comes down to your taste in styling. I think on most Lexus models, the F-sport trim looks better than the non. This is especially true on the NX and RX, where the non-F-sports have a nasty section of lower front end that is gouged out and non-existent. Looks terrible. The F-sports have some body there, making the front ends look like front ends and not something that was scraped away going up a driveway.
The RC would be an exception in my opinion. I think the non F is styled nicer, but not by much.
One other thing to think about are the seats. While I've only had my IS350 F-sport for two weeks, I am still not able to find a comfortable position for the seat. It is very confining, and there is no room to stretch or spread out sideways due to the upper and lower side bolsters. While that my be a good thing for others, I'm beginning to worry.

When I was looking at LS460's, there were tons of complaints on brake pads being an issue on the F-sport variants; that and my wife hated the color scheme of some of the F-Sport models Lexus carries. Like Fizzboy7 said, it is a matter of personal preference on the styling as the F-Sport doesn't significantly add performance enhancements other than brakes & suspension (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
But mostly aesthetic, sure. And of course the digital, moving instrument cluster is cool in cars that feature it like the IS and RC.

I have always like the F-sport seat design and themes. No idea if the suspension makes a difference or not. I also think the front ends are somewhat nicer. I believe F-sport is a tremendous success for Lexus.
