I did the same thing when I first got mine and wasn't paying attention when I pressed the unleaded button. Friends just told me to drive slow until it's empty and don't do it again.
Your engine should be okay as the ECU is smart enough to alter ignition timing based on the octane rating. It's not something you want to do all the time though.
On a side note, does anyone know if an octane booster would help in this type of situation?
Don't worry about it just drive it empty. As stated car now a day are different. There was a member here long time ago that only ran cheap 87 all the time he didn't have any issues.
Im worried about how 87 octane will affect my car, i put in 91 between fill ups will my engine be okay?
It’s not something I would do all the time, but your car will be just fine. At the absolute worst, the knock sensor will retard your timing, and you will get a reduction of power and poorer fuel mileage for this tank... that’s all.
I’d be more worried about the parking lot dings I got from someone else not caring how they park my car. LOL You're a good brother.

Octane booster is a joke; only increases the octane by .1 - .4 pts. In this case I'd recommend race gas concentrate to up the octane to whatever you want/need...www.race-gas.com
