Who is better gas milage 2010-2012 ES350 or IS ?
have an es350 and thinking of switching to the is250 or 350 whatever its called
I hear the IS has a 2.7L v6 so im guessing it gets better gas milage? ? the thing that confuses me about better gas milage is initially like most ppl i would think the is250 gets better gas milage but some ppl will say that " well the smaller 2.7L will have to work much harder thereby eating more gas than the es350" ? if the latter is also true than how the hell do i or someone find out which car gets better gas milage ?
i drive avg city/highway
can you guys help me out here.

No point in switching cars. You have a superior engine (2GR) in your car compared to the 2.5L v6 (4GR) in the IS250, the 2GR is so much more reliable than the 4GR and is shared with a ton of other Lexus and Toyota models. Your car also seems to do a tad bit better on MPG tests (this is mainly due to FWD vs RWD additional components). Then you have the whole space situation which the IS has barely any rear interior space for occupants (along with barely any truck space) compared to the ES.
I absolutely would not switch cars regardless of a potential 1-2 MPG difference. If MPG is a concern, I would advise looking at newer/different Lexus models. The newer ES's, along with the SUV's (well, the NX and UX) all do a lot better in MPG than either the IS250 or an older ES350. You also have various hybrid options as well from Lexus.

Speaking to the IS-350 RWD in stock trim F-Sport 18" 255/225 40's.
How does your ES compare to this?
You'll see one road trip the rest is commuting 40% highway / 60% city creeping. Winter temps, subtract 0.5mpg.
Miles / gallons = mpg
297.0 / 14.40 = 20.63
327.6 / 12.66 = 25.87
284.0 / 12.83 = 22.13
293.6 / 13.60 = 21.58
293.5 / 13.76 = 21.32
250.1 / 11.84 = 21.18
325.6 / 14.76 = 22.05
289.2 / 13.96 = 20.71
299.2 / 13.66 = 21.90
299.4 / 14.53 = 20.61

Different comparison: 2014 ES350, stock 17" wheels, 55 deg F air temp. I just made a 437 km (271 mile) return run yesterday and I used the trip to explore it's highway consumption. 70 mph one way, between 75 and 80 on return trip. Average consumption 30.8 US mpg. (the car reported the same number as the gas pump/calculator). This is a "new to me" car with 70,000 miles on the odo. That's the same as I used to get with my 4 cylinder 2003 Camry. Colour me "happy" (our gas prices currently $1.21Cd/liter with predictions of $1.30 soon. That's $US 3.43/gal and $3.70/gal. Ugh) Now that I know what to expect I have to back off and cruise at 65-70. I'd think it very difficult to get better mileage with a heavy car (or even a light one) without going hybrid.
