Hey guys I'm new with a 2nd Gen

Just bought a 250 07' and car won't unlock the driver side door not even hitting many times the unlock button. Any help what could be causing this

From what I've seen, it's most likely the door lock and actuator.

How can it be fixed, do I need to take it to the dealer or any other way cheaper

Replace the door lock actuator, a dealer can do it for you, or you can call around and see if there are independent shops that can do it for you if you're not able to do it yourself.

Why do u use the key fob to open the driver side? Doesn't it unlock when u put ur hand thru the handle? Or is that feature not on all models?

Sounds like the door lock actuator is pooping out. You could also DIY and replace it if you are comfortable doing it. I replaced my back two door lock actuators. There's two ways of doing it. Buy a used door lock actuator or just buy the motor. I butchered my door lock actuator trying to take it apart so I just found a used actuator on eBay for like $75 each. Just gotta pop off the door panel and remove the cables. Roll your window up so you can get your hand behind the door. Remove the 3 torx bits (t40 I think) and pull out the old actuator. Put the new one in and reverse order and you are good to go.

That's the issue it doesn't work. When I get closer to the car even putting my hand thru the handle doesn't unlock.... I was wondering if it's mess up or just needed reprogramming
