Engine starting questions
Car 2006 IS250
1. Once you start the car, can you get out and lock the doors by pressing the button on the outside door handle?
2. Can you stop the engine with the remote?
3. Does the engine automatically stop after x minutes if the remote is not in range?
Basically, I want to start the car to thaw out in the morning but still have it secure.

A: Car wont allow you to lock from outside when its running (Both door or remote)
2. Can you stop the engine with the remote?
A: Factory remote wont be able to turn off the vehicle unless you install some aftermarket system.
3. Does the engine automatically stop after x minutes if the remote is not in range?
A: Car wont turn off if remote is not in range. For ex. if your remote battery die while you are driving, car wont turn off. its part of a safety feature. So don't leave your car running someone is gonna steal it. lol
Non-factory remote starters have that feature. Car usually shuts off when you press the brake paddle. But our cars don't have that feature.
