Question Two (Easy) Light Questions, would be very grateful for a response!

Hey All,

First of all, I'd like to apologize in advance, I'm extremely new to all this and I know the first step is to use the search function, but upon trying I either couldn't understand it in full or the threads weren't completely relevant to my queries.

Moving on to the questions,

1.) I'd like to install fogs in my 2007 IS350. I'm looking for a white bulb, purely just for the aesthetics. I went to my local Canadian Tire (I live in Toronto), and purchased a two sets of bulbs, one that promised it would be the "brightest white" and the other promising to be "brighter than the brightest white", but as I later found out since those were halogen bulbs, the light output was still largely yellow. I was then told I had two options - #1 to order a HID kit or the next to look for LED bulbs which (as I was told) was as easy as replacing the bulb. The LED method would definitely be preferred for me. Could anyone please direct me to the type of bulb (I believe its 9006?) and where I could get it from (If there's a shop in Toronto, that'd be the absolute greatest!) for a decent price?

So far I have found these, but am not sure how well they would work (or if it is the right bulb):

and
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-9006-HB4-...-/121392864586

TL;DR : Looking for white fog lights for 07 IS350, was told LED bulbs (9006?) were the easiest solution where you just have to replace the bulb, and I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me where to purchase it in Toronto (or online if necessary)

Or if someone could just tell me exactly what part I'm looking for that'd be great as well!

My second question is:
I'm extremely interested in having the 011+012 headlight look (with the LED strip), however I currently don't have the money to buy the whole headlight replacement. That being said, I heard of the idea of a LED strip within the headlights proposed which would be a much cheaper alternative, but no one commented on the feasibility or how well it'd work. Does anyone have any insight into this (i.e. has anyone tried it before, and is it difficult)

TL;DR: Cheap LED strips in headlights to make a cheap replica of 011-012?

Thanks so much for the read, and any help is appreciated

For the fogs, I went with a cheap Chinese 6000K HID kit. Works well and I am happy with it. Cost me $30.

For the headlights, your best option is to get actual 11+ headlights and retrofit them, Sewell sells a kit for it, but it's not cheap.

There's also the Chinese knock off lights, they don't look quite as good and lots of users have had issues with the LED strip not working properly.

Personally, I would wait until you have the money and focus on cheaper mods for now.

Perfect, thanks for the reply. I'll hold off on the LED strip for now, but could you point me into the right direction for the fogs?

I'm looking for a LED 9006 bulb right?
I'd definitely prefer a cheap option, $30 sounds more than reasonable to me!

Thanks again!

Here's a ebay link for 9006 led bulbs and there's a lot more listed http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-9006-HB4-Epistar-High-Power-LED-White-6000K-60W-Fog-Light-Driving-Lamp-Bulb-/121392864586?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2007%7CModel%3AIS350&hash=item1c43941d4a&vxp=mtr

Thank you for the response!

I just found out that I could actually go here for pickup: http://www.extremebrightleds.com/Sea...earch=9006+led

However I'm not exactly sure which bulb I need or which would work best. Could someone tell me if this is the right one to buy for my car and model? : http://www.extremebrightleds.com/Pro...e=9006-18LED-W

Thanks so much again everyone!

EDIT: Also, these bulbs should just be plug and play right? Appreciate the help everyone!

if you're looking for a look like this, then this is a 6000K HID kit.

Im using the same vled 9006 bulb that you posted and they work great. As for the 2011 style headlights, I'd go with sewell even though they are pricey.
