Replacing TPMS IS350 2nd Gen
Hello everyone,
I want to share my experience with you when I had to replace all of TPMS in my 2006 IS350 few weeks ago.
I went to my tire guy and he said the back TPMSs have gone bad and need to be replaced and I should replace all 4 because if one goes the rest on their way out also.
So I purchased 4 new TPMS from the dealer and my tire guy installed them.
But his TPMS reset toll couldn't get the lights to turn off.
I called few dealers they said it will take one hour about $180, one said $275 because they had to take off the tires and note the serial numbers.
I tried 4 tire stores no luck.
Finally I went to BigO and they had the Snap on Solus Pro Scanner. They said they had to reset the system and it only took 20 min and charged me $31
Update
After about hundred and fifty miles the lights are back on darn it....
something about pre 4/2006 production date that has this problem...

Techstream. You can get the cable and software for like $20. I don't think I am allowed to post the location, but a google search should find it.
Very useful to have.
And it sounds like your sensors aren't programmed correctly to your car.
Our cars can accept 2 sets of TPMS sensors (main and 2nd). Each TPMS sensor has a unique serial that gets programmed to your car.
