Want to make a tpms bomb
This is my third car with tpms and j have never had such a hard time with the warning lights coming on due to change in temperature. So I originally thought about buying a small 12v compressor to avoid having to find a gas station everytime the light comes on. Then I thought I will just swap all the valve stems to remove the tpms sensors and throw them all in a tpms bomb. However, I cannot find any shops around that are allowed to remove tpms sensors and not put them back in. Any suggestions? Any ways to remove the tpms myself?

This seems pretty ridiculous to me. Go to the tire shop and tell them you want to buy 4 valve stems. Tell them to break the beads and install them in the tires as a tpms sensor is broken and you no longer want to deal with the system. This should be a non issue. Just don't tell them you have a plan to make a "bomb" and you should be fine.

u can remove the TPMS sensors at home, if you have time to, i did remove them by hands, first I had to release the air from the wheels then I press the tires down to separate from the wheels barrel than i remove the TPMS, and throw the in my spare tire in the trunk and put some air back to 34PSI, and i am good to go, no need to make a BOMB

Of course I did not use the word bomb. Haha. Every place I called said that they are not allowed to remove tpms sensors without replacing them. They said it is against their policy to do so since it is a safety feature. One guy said he did it once and got his *** chewed by his boss.

Since we're on the issue of alternate tpms work arounds... There was a thread a long time ago on a way to tape your tpms sensors which would press on the air pressure sensors in them. No need to do anything with your sensors other than take them off the wheels. The pics in the thread are long gone... Anyone know how to do this?

So you are saying to buy a second set, program them as set 2 so it reads them instead of the others and find a way to pressurize them correct? If so, how much does programming them run?

Thank you guys for the help. Bought a set of sensors off of eBay for $30 because they didn't have the valve cores or any mounting hardware. Made the tpms bomb and got them programmed at my local discount tire store for free (lexus wanted $70). Works like a charm.
