Sport mode not working
Driving my car the other day and realized that my sport mode is not working right. When you first shift the shift lever into sport mode it does not actually switch over. the gauge cluster also does not show it switching. but if you try to shift up or down it will then shift to sport mode. the only way to get it back into normal drive mode is to switch the shift lever into d then use the paddle shifters to go up to 6th gear and hold it until its in normal mode.
any ideas how to fix this or what could have caused it?

Same problem
Did you ever find the solution? I am having the same problem I have a Lexus IS 350 and the car switches to the “sport” side but it doesn’t actually changes. Neither does the light on the speedometer changes either. Any suggestions? I bought the car like that. I have checked the fuses but don’t know if there is one specific for that.

You need to find the switch that detects side motion and place an ohm meter across it and see if it opens and closes.
In short, follow the wires. They either go to switches or lights. The switch should go from infinite ohms to zero ohms.
