Formal Introduction
Hello everyone!
Some of you may have noticed I have been active on this forum lately asking for advice, as well as providing some. I figured it is about time I give a formal introduction,
My name is Brad, I am 24 and live in Canada. I have been a car enthusiast for quite a few years and am pretty much self taught. I read and research a lot and try and do everything on my own. I used to be a mustang guy, but after owning 3, I decided to try something different and picked up my TSX. After a few years I had decided I was done with front wheel drive and a 4 cylinder and was originally looking at a 335i. While searching for the right BMW, I stumbled across my current IS350 and was offered a deal I couldn't refuse.
I picked up my 2006 SGM IS350 w/ sport package and the following mods:
-Injen intake
-2 x 10" JL 10W6 and a JL 1000/1 amp
- Tinted rear windows
Since I have owned it I have done the following:
- H&R springs
- 18" TSW nurburgring wheels
- Painted calipers black + decals
- LED interior and reverse lights
- Roadrover navigation + backup camera
- OEMthing spoiler and roof spoiler
- Red out tails
- Carbon Fiber vinyl wrapped interior pieces
- LED DRL bulbs
- 6000K HIDS
- 6000K HID fog lights
And probably a few things I am missing.
On the way right now I have new Sumitomo tires coming ( the current ones are 45 series and rubbing... plus they are Federal tires, blah!). I also have an M2 catback exhaust coming.
All the work has been done by myself in the driveway with a pack of beer.
Here's some pics of my old cars and current:

Thanks guys, means a lot. I have been spending a lot of free time working on the car, but it's time well spent. The IS has definitely surpassed my expectations. Before driving this one, I had no idea they were so fast, I thought it was just a tad better than an IS250.
The subs definitely do pound, but also sound clean and crisp. The trunk lid is covered in sound deadening... which made the rear camera install a pain.
Can't wait to get my new tires and exhaust on the car. Then at some point, I will most likely be looking at a lip kit and rear sway bar.
