hello smart humans on the lexus forum,

i just purchased a used 2008 is250 and the radio is broken
it isn't getting any power

i got an exact radio replacement from ebay installed it and it also has no power
06 09 LEXUS IS250 86120-53430 AM FM RADIO CD 6 DISC PLAYER MP3 B46 P1809

if i use the nav or my Bluetooth phone the speakers work can i rule out the amp as a problem since the speakers work with nav and phone?

any suggestions on my next step?

one thing i forgot to include

if i use a stereo cable and plug my phone into the AUX jack under the arm rest
i still don't get any sound
not sure it that helps at all

Sounds very similar to my problem, except when I replaced the NAV unit altogether it worked. I'd start with some of the NAV-related fuses. Check out your owners manual for the fuse locations and their names/functions.

looking at wiring diagram there is seperate fuse for radio, it's labelled as RAD No.3 on diagram. Goes to pin 1 of J66 (White 20 pin connector at radio). Hope that helps

I pulled and tested 6 different fuses that could have anything to do with NAV. Check under both the driver and passenger side fuse boxes.
