I've ready they can go bad. When I turn it on it clicks as though it's going on fine. When I unscrew it comes off really easy. Does others' gas cap come off easy?

Why should it be hard for the gas cap to come off?? Then people would create a thread complaining it is so hard to get the gas cap off lol.

As part of the OBD-II federal mandate, the car will pressurize the fuel system briefly during each drive cycle to test for leaks. If your cap is bad, the system won't hold pressure and the check engine light will illuminate.

If you don't like it, replace it with a new Stant cap from Walmart for $5-6.
