Default Two spare button place holders--Power?

Just wondering if anyone knows what those two button place holders (well, many of you probably have buttons there) are for. The ones next to what I think is a coin holder to the left of the steering wheel (in US), above the drunk and gas release buttons.

Reason I ask is I was wondering if there might be power there for a hard wired charger. Would be a great location for a phone holder mount if you don't actually have buttons there. Might be able to figure it out from a wiring diagram, but I'd feel more confident if I knew what those button options are.

They're blanks so there's nothing behind them. Some packages have them for what was mentioned above. I put switches in there for my under car puddle lights, headrest monitors, and led lights in my sound system.

Thanks guys. That answered my question.

Now that I'm familiarizing myself with the proper terms, I guess I should have asked: "do you guys know if there's 12v switched power behind that blank button plate?" Same answer, but a more precise question I suppose.

sttd103, asking you about button blanks is like asking a Brain Surgeon to put on a Band-Aid. Very nice work.

This gives me an idea. My wife wants me to install a switch to turn my exhaust off in the morning so it doesn't wake her! haha

That looks badass with the red safety cover. I almost want to install one even though it would connect to nothing.
